Have you ever occur suddenly you website you used to visit is blocked from viewing because of the region restriction? Or it is blocked because of your country IT policy? As said from the tittle, this post will focus on how to surf some of the blocked or restricted website that are blocked by some country or region. There actually few method for accessing blocked content which is using Virtual Private Network (VPN) service, changing Domain Name Server (DNS) server IP and also few other method. For this post i will focus on using the simplest method that is changing DNS Server IP. This tutorial does not need any kind of software, just need your Windows OS or other type of OS (Need to find the network setting). DNS IP changing will not affect anything regarding you internet connection. The method just re-route your computer from using your Internet Service Provider (ISP) DNS IP by using the DNS IP that are provided by other dedicated DNS provider server.
1. Firstly you need to search for free DNS server. If you can afford there are also Premium DNS server that needed you to pay some service charge. For example please refer this DNS server list: Free DNS Servers
2. Then go to Start Menu and search for Network and Sharing Center.
3. Click Change adapter settings at the left panel.
4. Click your internet connection you currently connected to, right click and click Status.
5. Open the Properties below.
6. In Networking tab, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the list then click Properties.
7. At General tab, go to below section and click on Use the following DNS server addresses. Then fill out the two column, preferred and alternate DNS server according to your DNS server selection at the beginning of this step. If not certain, the first address will be preferred DNS and the second is the alternate DNS. After finish click OK then restart your computer. After that, you can try accessing you blocked website like usual. Good luck!
